Creative Scrappers sketch #263

I think that sketch's are the best way to go when needing inspiration for a page! One place that provides wonderful sketches is Creative Scrappers. This time around the layout is super easy and makes for a great, fabbo looking page!!

I've wanted to scrap this photo of my super son and his amazing cousin for ages so now was the time!! Now for some close ups....

The DSP I've used is the Retro Fresh (from the mini) with the fun rotary stamp for some extra details! I'm hoping to get some more scrapping done soon.... though it might not be till next weekend now when I'm off with my scrapping buddies on our Scrap-away!! Can't wait!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #19 - baby cards

It's the Perfectly rustics challenge again with Baby cards being the theme! Who doesn't love the sweet smell of a new-born, the delight of a new life, the blessings of a little person to care for!
Ohhh how I LOVE babies!!!
I've needed both a boy and a girl card in the last few months (though it's taken till now to actually get them done!!!) So while I was stamping I did a uni-sex card too, ready and waiting!! YAY!
Here is my inspiration for the challenge.....
The three assorted baby cards, all with the cute elephant from Zoo babies
and the Fresh prints DSP from the mini
Boy card: you will notice that I coloured in the ear in a dark blue
Now for the little girl card! I love the red with the pink!
 Lastly my uni-sex card!
Baby cards can be made in sooo many different ways, how are you going to make yours?? Can't wait to see what you come up with and join in on our challenge!

Scrap and Music #23 and Just Add ink #206

My super man is camping at the moment and with some "me" time this morning I was able to happily sit at my crafting desk and play along with some challenges!!! SOOO love Saturday mornings!! :)
I always love JAI and the fabbo sketches at Scrap and Music are a fav too so I decided this time to combine them both!! YAY! JAI is all about Sale-a-bration (so I used some of the freebie DSP and the fun coloured twine) while Scrap and Music have the coolest sketch and "Someone like You" song to go with it!!
I searched through the song lyric till I found the perfect words to work with my photo's (of my super man riding his bike) from our recent holiday!
Here is my page......
I sooo LOVE the look of the circles I've created! It's a new thing for me to try, KIM has been doing it for awhile, check it out HERE and I finally today gave it a go!! FUN!!! All I used was the base of my stampin' mist! EASY!

With the background details I actually rock n' rolled my stamp in both Smoky slate ink pad and then my black, stamped off and then stamped on the page. This gave it a much softer look as I didn't want it to be too over-powering! I also dabbed my chevron arrows in the black ink too to add some more grungy depth!  I'm super happy with the end result especially with the POP of colour from the Summer starfruit!

Awesome title (thanks to the song!) and you have a completed page!! Couldn't have picked a better way to start my Saturday morning!!

Runway Inspired Challenge-ric#55

I came across this really cool challenge site called RUNWAY inspired challenge!! WOW they take these amazing dresses and the like from the "runway" and then inspire you to make a project from it! AWESOME!
I totally LOVED this challenge with the shimmery dress and the black detail and so with a card needed for my lovely friend's birthday this was the beginning!! Here is my take on it:

I think the other thing I loved about all the glam and fanciness was the fact that she is performing (along with heaps of other talented people) at the Princess Theatre RIGHT NOW in The Phantom of the Opera (here in Launceston, Tasmania!!) WOW OH WOW!!! I went to see it last night and it was TOTALLY OUTSTANDING!!! It's Amanda's first ever show and she played it beautifully, this was certainly a fitting birthday card! Now for the inside where I carried some more of the loveliness there too....

I hope to join again with this new found challenge site for me, it was really cool and very inspiring indeed!

Perfectly Rustics Challenge #18 - Hexagons

Time for another wonderful challenge at Perfectly Rustics!! YAY! This time we are playing with HEXAGONS!! Jayne came up with the idea so be sure to check out the other inspiration projects HERE!
My card is a male birthday card and when I think hexagons I think bees!! SO here is my bee card!

I loved the use of the soft colours and the stripes of the gorgeous grundge that work really great with the honeybee and with the honeycomb shapes!!
I even took time to stamp the inside!

So do join us this time, we would LOVE to see what wonderful things you do with hexagons!!
