Perfectly Rustics challenge #44 - Eggs

Can you believe how close that Easter is?? WOW it's really just around the corner..... so with a fun theme to work with (I've always loved themes....) We at Perfectly Rustics are challenging you to come up with a project using.... EGGS!!
I wanted to make a gift bag tag, ready for those yummy delights that soon we will ALL be eating and with the help of my sweet little Ester (she made the chickie) we came up with this!

I do enjoy a bit of punch art, this one works a treat for Easter don't you think??
I also made a little box/bag thingy (with the wonderful envelope board) found HERE! LOVE how cute it is!!! I demonstrated these two projects for my Mother/Child class I'm running each month. Everyone LOVED these projects and now their Easter goodies will not only taste yummo but look great too!!

So what will you do with the challenge?? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!

CASE-ing the Catty challenge #23 - Occassional Mini and Sale-a-bration

This is a bit of a sad post for me..... WHY?? You ask??!!
Well because it's my last time for me to inspire you on the CASE-ing the Catty challenge blog. I've realised that I've had just a bit too much on my plate and as my children continue to grow and their needs along with it, I've needed to step back and re-assess on my "jobs." It's been SUPER AWESOME to be part of such a fabbo, creative team of people and I hope that every now and then I can still join in on the fun with the CASE-ing the Catty challenges!!!
So here is my last card to inspire you......

It's made with the sheltering tree stamp set that's available in the Mini and the FREE Sale-a-bration DSP in the background!! I actually made this card for a male friend who helped our family HEAPS recently so it's kinda lacking some of my usual embellishments...... not sure a doily would have worked!! hee he!
How wonderful it is to co-ordinate the wooden elements with the tree set, just a perfect match!
Well that's it from me, thanks to all of you for your visits and comment love, it has meant HEAPS!!

Perfectly Rustics challenge #43 - Make it better!

Do you ever have a project that you really just DON"T LIKE!!! You know the one's, they usually take AGES and when done you're still not HAPPY!!!!
ARHHHHH!!! Well this fortnight don't despair, don't throw it away.... MAKE IT BETTER and join in the fun at Perfectly Rustics.

I had this scrap-page that just wasn't nice, plain and boring and just sitting there screaming for some LOVE!! SO love I gave it and turned it into this.....

I wanted to still use the blue, so I pulled it out from behind and roughed it up a LOT, made waves and created layers and then it went from there.

I just think that Zeke looks sooo handsome in this picture, I can't help but smile when I look at it! The twine gives it more of a nautical look and the tiny fish stamp finishes it off nicely!
YAY I made it BETTER!!
What will you do with your unpleasant card..... can't wait to see,

Case-ing the Catty challenge #20 - Everyday section of the Mini

What an amazing selection of stamps there are in the Everyday section of the Mini! What is your favourite? At Case-ing the Catty this week we are focusing on this very section. I would have to say that mine is the Sheltering Tree, page 22.

I have made quite a few cards with it, this one being my favourite... probably because of the colours and my fav embellishments at the moment Washi tape and doilies. I thought the wood grain embossing folder background was a clever touch and I really like the roughness of the edging too.
Hoping you can join us this week and join in the fun!

Just add Ink challenge #252 - A sketch (Horse Punch art)

It's a busy time of the year for birthdays in my circle of friends and family! This Friday my sweet little Sophia will turn 9 and she is having a Horse Theme Party. So with that idea in mind and the very groovy sketch from Just Add Ink I came up with this....

I did find the punch art inspiration from HERE to make my horse but added my own little touches like the burlap ribbon mane. I'm sooo happy with the rosette proudly displaying Sophia's birthday number!!

This sketch was a lot of fun, must remember to use it again in the future!
